Triangle Small Business Week

Press Release

A WEEK TO SHOWCASE HOW SMALL BUSINESSES HAVE HUGE IMPACT

From mom-and-pop shops to tech startups, small businesses are critical to the growth and vitality of our nation and the Triangle region. They create two-thirds of the new jobs in the U.S. each year. In fact, nearly 88,000 employees work for small businesses here in the Triangle, representing 80% of all businesses in Wake County.

North Carolina now ranks as the No. 1 Best State to Start a Business in 2025 and No. 2 for Best Business Climate while the Triangle continues to shine with Raleigh ranked No. 3 for Best City to Start a Career and No. 9 for Metro to Start a STEM Business.

From May 4 to May 10, the Greater Raleigh Chamber and our partners will be celebrating Triangle Small Business Week by offering events and resources to support the small businesses that are important economic drivers for our region. During the week, there will be key discussions focused on the growing and thriving small businesses in our community. Find a full list of events, specials, resources for small businesses, and data on the impact of our local small businesses on the Triangle Small Business Week website.
